Vase ancien Art Déco 1920-40 en grès fin, style Art Nouveau & chinoiserie, décor

Très beau vase ancien, années 1920-1940, peut être milieu des années 30. Non signé, en biscuit de grès fin (ou éventuellement porcelaine), dans un style mêlant art nouveau et chinoiserie. Fabrication artisanale, tourné, décoré au tampon et peint à la main, avec émaillage uniquement à l’intérieur. Forme amphore pansue reposant sur un petit socle rond légèrement surélevé, col resserré et goulot évasé, munie de deux anses doubles dans l’esprit art nouveau / art déco. Extérieur non émaillé, texture mate de biscuit beige, décoré au tampon de liserés bleu de Payne foncé et de motifs floraux et géométriques d’inspiration chinoise, proches par endroits d’un motif cachemire, remplissage peint en gris/noir dans les pétales et sur les feuilles, liserés et anses peints en noir. Intérieur émaillé brun-noir métallisé, rappelant certaines productions belges de l’entre-deux-guerres ; la forme des poignées, la matière et la technique suggèrent une fabrication européenne. Le décor de style chinoiserie est ici trompeur, il ne s’agit très probablement pas d’une production asiatique. Ce vase ne provient pas d’une production en série industrielle ou semi-industrielle : une légère déformation du goulot met en évidence un façonnage manuel. Objet inhabituel et rare, très décoratif, probablement issu d’une production belge, française ou néerlandaise. Hauteur 25,5 cm, largeur 21 cm aux anses, diamètre maximal 15-16 cm, diamètre au goulot 10 cm, poids environ 1 kg. Parfait état, rien de notable, quelques petites taches discrètes, usage visible à l’intérieur mais peu marqué.

Very fine antique vase, 1920s-1940s, possibly mid-1930s. Unsigned, in fine stoneware biscuit (or possibly porcelain), in a style combining art nouveau and chinoiserie. Handcrafted, thrown, stamp-decorated and hand-painted, with enameling only on the interior. Pot-bellied amphora shape resting on a small, slightly raised round base, narrowed neck and flared spout, fitted with two double handles in the art nouveau / art deco style. Unglazed exterior, matte beige biscuit texture, stamp-decorated with dark Payne blue borders and Chinese-inspired floral and geometric motifs, close in places to a paisley pattern, gray/black painted filling in the petals and on the leaves, black painted borders and handles. Metallic brown-black enamel interior, reminiscent of certain Belgian productions from the interwar period; the shape of the handles, the material and the technique suggest European manufacture. The chinoiserie-style decor here is deceptive; it is most likely not an Asian production. This vase does not come from industrial or semi-industrial mass production: a slight deformation of the neck highlights manual shaping. Unusual and rare object, very decorative, probably from Belgian, French or Dutch production. Height 25.5 cm, width 21 cm at the handles, maximum diameter 15-16 cm, diameter at the neck 10 cm, weight approximately 1 kg. Perfect condition, nothing notable, some small discreet stains, visible use inside but not very marked.
