Théière de collection en terre cuite émaillée, céramique d’atelier, américaine, vintage années 1950-1970, dans le goût des productions de David Constantine White et plus largement du mouvement studio pottery américain de l’après-guerre. Décor abstrait aux couleurs vives sur fond bleu. Forme organique équilibrée avec bec verseur étiré et couvercle ajusté. L’anse en terre à patine noire a un aspect plus brut qui tranche avec l'émail coloré. Signature peinte sous la base à identifier.
17cm de longueur, 16cm de hauteur max à l'anse, 10cm de largeur max. Très bel état général, on notera quelques irrégularités de cuisson et micro-usures sur l'anse, ainsi qu'une puce de 2mm sur le bec, très discrète. Environ 650-700gr.

Beautiful, rare, unique. Collectible glazed earthenware teapot, American studio pottery, vintage 1950s-1970s, in the style of David Constantine White's work and more broadly of the post-war American studio pottery movement. Abstract decoration in vibrant colors on a blue background. Balanced organic shape with an elongated spout and fitted lid. The earthenware handle with a black patina has a more rustic look that contrasts with the colored glaze. Painted signature under the base to be identified.
17cm long, 16cm maximum height to the handle, 10cm maximum width. Very good overall condition, with some minor firing irregularities and micro-wear on the handle, as well as a very discreet 2mm chip on the spout. Approximately 650-700g.
