Belle statuette asiatique d'art populaire en bois monoxyle sculpté, avec verni épais dans des tons brun rouge foncé, représentant un personnage debout les mains jointes dans une attitude de prière ou de recueillement. Travail artisanal Japonais ou Chinois ancien/vintage milieu du XXe siècle, circa années 1930-1960. 
 
Hauteur 29,5cm, largeur 9cm, profondeur 6-7cm environ. Bel état général avec de nombreux petits sauts/écailles et usures du vernis, cohérents avec l'âge, harmonieux avec la patine dans l'ensemble. Environ 300-400gr.

Beautiful Asian folk art statuette carved from a single block of wood, with a thick varnish in dark reddish-brown tones, depicting a standing figure with hands clasped in a gesture of prayer or contemplation. Antique/vintage Japanese or Chinese craftsmanship, mid-20th century, circa 1930-1960. 
 
Height 29.5 cm, width 9 cm, depth 6-7 cm approximately. Good overall condition with numerous small chips/flecks and varnish wear, consistent with age and harmonious with the overall patina. Approximately 300-400 grams.
