Plateau bois sculpté décor de pommes de pin style art nouveau XXe
Magnifique plateau ovale en bois, monoxyle, sculpté et vernis, travail artisanal ancien des années 1920-1940 ou antérieur, dans un goût Art Nouveau très marqué. Belle forme ovale allongée à prises intégrées, orné sur tout le pourtour d’une large frise finement sculptée de pommes de pin et rameaux de pin, stylisés, au modelé profond, travail de très belle qualité. Le centre, laissé lisse, met en valeur le veinage chaleureux du bois et contraste élégamment avec la richesse du décor extérieur vernis dans des tons plus foncés et nuancés.
Longueur 49cm, largeur 30,5cm, hauteur environ 2 à 2,2cm, partie centrale 30x18 cm. Très bon état général, à signaler quelques traces d’usage au centre avec fines rayures et légères usures du vernis, ainsi qu’une petite fente ancienne dans le décor sculpté visible sur une pomme de pin, sans incidence et discrète. Environ 550-650gr.

Magnificent oval wooden tray, carved and varnished from a single piece of wood, an antique handcrafted piece dating from the 1920s-1940s or earlier, in a distinctly Art Nouveau style. Its beautiful elongated oval shape features integrated handles and is adorned around the entire perimeter with a wide, finely carved frieze of stylized pine cones and branches, deeply modeled, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship. The smooth center highlights the warm grain of the wood and contrasts elegantly with the rich exterior decoration, varnished in darker, more nuanced tones.
Length 49cm, width 30.5cm, height approximately 2-2.2cm, central section 30x18cm. Very good overall condition, with some minor signs of wear in the center, including fine scratches and slight wear to the varnish, as well as a small, inconspicuous, old crack in the carved decoration visible on one pine cone. Approximately 550-650g.
