Plaque murale en bois sculpté en relief représentant la Vierge à l’Enfant, vers 1950-1970. Travail artisanal Italien. Composition délicatement détaillée montrant la Vierge inclinée vers l’Enfant endormi dans ses bras. Les plis du voile, les cheveux et les mains se détachent sur un fond travaillé à la gouge. Finition vernie aux belles nuances de bois patiné.

34cm de hauteur, 25cm de largeur et 2,5cm d’épaisseur. Très bel état général, sans défaut notable. Dos recouvert d’un panneau de fibres de bois, avec corde de suspension légèrement usée. 1,350kg.

Carved wooden wall plaque in relief, depicting the Virgin and Child, dating from circa 1950–1970. An example of Italian craftsmanship, the piece features a delicately detailed composition showing the Virgin leaning toward the Child, who is asleep in her arms. The folds of her veil, as well as the hair and hands, stand out against a background textured with gouge marks. It has a varnished finish with beautiful, rich tones of patinated wood.

Measures 34 cm in height, 25 cm in width, and 2.5 cm in thickness. In very good overall condition, with no notable flaws. The back is covered with a fiberboard panel and includes a hanging cord that shows slight signs of wear. Weight: 1.350 kg.
