Petit masque d'Oba bronze doré Bamoun, Cameroun, vintage Afrique
Petit masque visage d'Oba en bronze artisanal, Bamoun, Cameroun, Afrique. Vintage moitié du XXe siècle, ou un peu antérieur. Vocation décorative ou utilisé lors de cérémonies commémoratives et hommages. L’objet est orné d’un anneau de suspension moulé à même la coiffe. Arrière irrégulier et patine naturelle laissant apparaître de légères traces d’oxydation, gage d’un travail artisanal. Le visage représenté, dans un style traditionnel, affiche une expression sereine, grand yeux un peu globuleux, bouche un peu souriante. Ainsi qu'une barbe striée en éventail, symbole de dignité. Il porte une coiffe, ou couronne, hérissée de picots. Très joli petit objet qui ravira les amateurs d'art Africain.
16 cm de hauteur, 10 cm de largeur et 4 à 5 cm d’épaisseur selon la courbure. Très bel état, usage naturel et patine, petits trous particulièrement dans la coiffe, dû à la technique de fabrication, d'origine et preuve de son authenticité. Environ 700gr.*

Small Oba face mask in handcrafted bronze, Bamoun, Cameroon, Africa. Vintage mid-20th century, or slightly earlier. Decorative purpose or used during commemorative ceremonies and tributes. The object is decorated with a suspension ring molded into the headdress. Irregular back and natural patina revealing slight traces of oxidation, a guarantee of artisanal work. The face represented, in a traditional style, displays a serene expression, large, slightly globular eyes, a slightly smiling mouth. As well as a ridged, fan-shaped beard, a symbol of dignity. He wears a headdress, or crown, bristling with spikes. Very pretty little object that will delight lovers of African art.
16 cm high, 10 cm wide and 4 to 5 cm thick depending on the curvature. Very good condition, natural use and patina, small holes particularly in the headdress, due to the manufacturing technique, origin and proof of its authenticity. Approximately 700gr.*
