Petit buste ancien/vintage Louis XIV d’après Gole & Le Brun plâtre blanc
Superbe petit buste du jeune Louis XIV en plâtre blanc légèrement patiné, ancien/vintage années 1930-1950, d’après le modèle réalisé vers 1666 par Pierre Gole sur des projets de Charles Le Brun pour le Château de Versailles. L’original, exécuté pour les cabinets de la Guerre et de la Paix, fut malheureusement volé en 1922.
23 cm de hauteur, pour environ 18cm de largeur et 9-10cm de profondeur, joli travail décoratif du XXᵉ siècle, finement modelé, visage expressif, portant sa couronne de lauriers, longue chevelure bouclée typique du style “Grand Siècle”, armure richement ornée et drapé, les détails sont fins et élégant. Très bel état général quelques petites usures, micro-accidents et éclats discrets, un petit manque sur le coté droit du nez, patine teinté du temps, lui conférent un aspect très authentique. Environ 1kg.

Superb small bust of the young Louis XIV in slightly patinated white plaster, antique/vintage, circa 1930-1950, after the model created around 1666 by Pierre Gole based on designs by Charles Le Brun for the Palace of Versailles. The original, made for the War and Peace Cabinets, was unfortunately stolen in 1922.
23 cm high, approximately 18 cm wide and 9-10 cm deep, a lovely decorative piece from the 20th century, finely modeled, with an expressive face, wearing his laurel wreath, long curly hair typical of the "Grand Siècle" style, richly ornamented and draped armor, the details are fine and elegant. In very good overall condition with some minor wear, tiny chips and discreet imperfections, a small loss on the right side of the nose, and a patina tinted with age, giving it a very authentic appearance. Approximately 1 kg.
