Paire de soldats bois sculpté ancien art populaire Europe du Nord XIX-XXe
Rare, jolie paire de figures de soldats sculptées en ronde-bosse dans un bois foncé, anciens fin XIXe début XXe. Il s'agit probablement éléments de meuble ou d’architecture intérieure. Personnages stylisés, tenant chacun un bâton et coiffés d’un casque conique à large rebord, dans un style formel naïf caractéristique de l’art populaire européen. Le style évoque une production artisanale d’Europe du Nord, possiblement Allemagne, Suisse... Dans un goût historiciste, Médiéval ou Renaissance, fréquent sur le mobilier rustique et décoratif de la fin du XIXe.
25cm de hauteur max pour une largeur et une profondeur d’environ 11cm. Les personnages sont en très bel état. Les socles présentent quelques anciens trous de xylophages, discrets, surtout à l'arrière principalement. On notera les manques d' un angle arrière de chaque base. Environ 700-800gr pièce.

The style suggests a Northern European production, possibly from Germany or Switzerland, reflecting a historicist, medieval, or Renaissance taste, common in rustic and decorative furniture of the late 19th century.
They measure approximately 25 cm in height, with a width and depth of about 11 cm. The figures are in very good condition. The bases show some discreet, old woodworm holes, mainly on the back. One rear corner of each base is missing. Each figure weighs approximately 700-800 grams.
