Paire de bougeoirs coqs en céramique émaillée, signés A.G Roger année 1948

Magnifique et rare/unique, paire de bougeoirs coqs stylisés en céramique émaillée, signés A.G Roger 48 sous la base, à identifier, travail artisanal d'atelier vintage année 1948. Belle production après-guerre à l’esthétique très marquée par l’Art Déco. Corps couvert d’un décor de plumes incisées rehaussées de dorures peintes à la main, queue en large volute spiralée en guise de poignées. Une pièce rouge bordeaux à décor doré, l’autre bleu cobalt également rehaussé d’or. Très belle qualité d'artisanat, rappelant des productions de Vallauris de cette époque.
 
Hauteur 19cm, longueur 17,5cm, largeur 11cm, diamètre de l’ouverture pour bougie environ 2cm. Très bel état d’usage. On notera un petit saut d’émail discret sur l’un des yeux du coq rouge et trois légères puces à l’intérieur de l’ouverture du bougeoir bleu, très discret. Environ 800-900gr pièce.

Magnificent and rare/unique pair of stylized rooster candlesticks in glazed ceramic, signed A.G. Roger 48 under the base (signature to be identified), vintage workshop handcrafted piece from 1948. A beautiful post-war production with a strong Art Deco aesthetic. The body is decorated with incised feathers enhanced with hand-painted gilding, and the tail is a wide, spiraling volute serving as handles. One piece is burgundy red with gilt decoration, the other cobalt blue, also enhanced with gold. The craftsmanship is of very high quality, reminiscent of Vallauris productions of the same period.
 
Height 19cm, length 17.5cm, width 11cm, candle opening diameter approximately 2cm. In very good used condition. There is a small, discreet chip in the glaze on one of the eyes of the red rooster and three very small chips inside the opening of the blue candlestick. Approximately 800-900g each.
