Nature morte ail, œuf et mortier signée Sarpe, 1979, huile sur toile

Très jolie petite nature morte à l’huile sur toile signée Sarpe et datée 79, figurant un mortier en laiton avec son pilon, de l'ail et un œuf sur un fond doux aux tons bruns et verts. Travail soigné, contrastes lumineux. Le cadre en bois et stuc doré, richement mouluré dans le goût rococo, met bien l’ensemble en valeur.
 
Toile au format paysage 27x22 cm, cadre 40x35cm et 6 cm d’épaisseur. Très bel état général ; cadre partiellement redoré et réparé sur la partie haute, discret, toile propre sans manque ni déchirure. Environ 1,200kg.

A very pretty small still life oil on canvas, signed Sarpe and dated 1979, depicting a brass mortar with its pestle, garlic, and an egg against a soft background of brown and green tones. The work is meticulous, with luminous contrasts. The richly molded, Rococo-style frame of wood and gilt stucco beautifully complements the piece. 
 
The canvas is landscape format, 27 x 22 cm; the frame is 40 x 35 cm and 6 cm thick. The painting is in very good overall condition; the frame has been partially regilded and discreetly repaired at the top; the canvas is clean, with no missing pieces or tears. Approximately 1.2 kg.
