Masque Africain céramique émaillée style Dan à identifier

Fascinant masque mural décoratif, en céramique/poterie émaillée artisanale dans un style proche des masques de la tribu Dan. Vintage ou ancien, non signé, rappelant certaines productions de Vallauris créées dans les années 60. Visage stylisé lippu au menton pointu, sourcils haut en arc de cercle, arrête du nez fine, petit crane rond, yeux en croissants de lune mi-clos, oreilles hautes et bas des joues marquées de 2 scarifications verticales. Surface du visage d'un émail noir lustré, presque métallique, reflets argentés, lèvres rouge foncé, scarification et yeux émaillés blancs légèrement translucide laissant paraitre la couleur de la terre oranger, pupilles bleu nuit. On notera quelques effets verts sur les rebords des motifs au niveau de l'émail noir. 22-23cm de hauteur max, 13-14cmd de largeur max, 6-7cm d'épaisseur. Très bel état général, quelques puces discrètes notamment 2 sur le rebord droit de la lèvre inférieur, une sur la joue gauche, 3 sur le rebord des scarifications de la joue gauche et une au dessus de l’œil droit, encore une fois très discrètes, 1mm ou moins. 600-750gr environ. Pièce rare ou unique.

Fascinating decorative wall mask, in handcrafted glazed ceramic/pottery in a style close to the masks of the Dan tribe. Vintage or antique, unsigned, reminiscent of certain Vallauris productions created in the 1960s. Stylized lipped face with a pointed chin, high arched eyebrows, thin nose bridge, small round skull, half-closed crescent moon eyes, high ears and low cheeks marked with 2 vertical scarifications. Face surface of a glossy black enamel, almost metallic, silver highlights, dark red lips, scarification and slightly translucent white enameled eyes revealing the color of the orange earth, midnight blue pupils. Note some green effects on the edges of the patterns at the level of the black enamel. 22-23cm max height, 13-14cm max width, 6-7cm thickness. Very good overall condition, some discreet chips including 2 on the right edge of the lower lip, one on the left cheek, 3 on the edge of the scarifications of the left cheek and one above the right eye, again very discreet, 1mm or less. Approximately 600-750gr. Rare or unique piece.
