Imposant buste de femme en bois massif sculpté à la gouge XIXe

Très imposant et superbe buste de femme en bois massif foncé, sculpté dans la masse à la gouge, ancien XIXe circa 1860-1920, art populaire Européen, pièce unique. Visage peu souriant mais jolie. Arrière du crane coupé en biais, probablement car elle était placée dans une niche, ou écritoire, élément de meuble ? 44-45cm de hauteur max, 23-24cm de largeur et de profondeur. Très bien conservée pour son age, quelques craquelures du bois et manques anciens, quelques cicatrices sur le visage, notamment sur le nez, quelques petits trous d’insectes, ensemble harmonieux témoignant de son histoire et belle patine du temps. Environ 9,200kg.

Very imposing and superb bust of a woman in solid dark wood, carved in the mass with a gouge, old 19th century circa 1860-1920, European folk art, unique piece. Face not very smiling but pretty. Back of the skull cut at an angle, probably because it was placed in a niche, or writing desk, piece of furniture? 44-45cm max height, 23-24cm width and depth. Very well preserved for its age, some cracks in the wood and old losses, some scars on the face, especially on the nose, some small insect holes, harmonious whole testifying to its history and beautiful patina of time. Approximately 9,200kg.
