Grand renard en faïence St Clément, d’après Kraner, années 1930-50

Grand sujet animalier en faïence émaillée polychrome de la manufacture de Saint-Clément, cachet discernable sous la queue ainsi que "France" et numéro, ancien/vintage milieu du XXe siècle, vers 1930-1950. Modèle expressif de renard, à la posture vivante, réalisé d’après un modèle de Karl Kraner pour Rosenthal dans les années 20-30. Sujet assez peu courant et dans une teinte polychrome plus rare que les faïences animalières art déco habituellement monochromes de la manufacture de St -Clément.
 
Longueur 40cm, largeur 15cm, hauteur 19,5cm. Très bel état général comprenant deux fines rayures discrètes sur le haut de la patte avant et sur le flanc à l’arrière. Environ 800gr, corps creux.

Large polychrome glazed earthenware animal figurine from the Saint-Clément factory, with a discernible mark under the tail, along with "France" and a serial number. Vintage, mid-20th century, circa 1930-1950. An expressive fox with a lifelike pose, made after a design by Karl Kraner for Rosenthal in the 1920s-30s. A relatively uncommon subject, and in a polychrome color scheme rarer than the typically monochrome Art Deco animal figurines from the Saint-Clément factory. 
 
Length 40cm, width 15cm, height 19.5cm. Very good overall condition with two fine, discreet scratches on the top of the front paw and on the rear flank. Approximately 800g, hollow body.
