Grand plateau en thuya marqueté citronnier, artisanat marocain années 80-90
Très beau et grand plateau de service rectangulaire, en bois massif de loupe de thuya à riche veinage flammé, travail artisanal marocain dans le goût des productions d’Essaouira, vintage des années 1980-1990, modèle toujours produit. Décor de marqueterie géométrique en losanges, composé de filets de citronnier et d’incrustations contrastées, offrant un rendu graphique, travail minutieux de belle facture avec un bois dense et soigneusement travaillé.
Longueur 50cm, largeur 33cm, hauteur 6,8cm au plus haut et environ 3,5cm au plus bas. Très bel état général, on note quelques petites traces d’usage discrètes sur le fond, notamment sur un coté, légère usure dans les angles intérieurs et quelques fines rayures peu visibles. Environ 1 à 1,5 kg.

A very beautiful and large rectangular serving tray, made of solid thuya burl with a rich, flamed grain. A Moroccan handcrafted piece in the style of Essaouira production, dating from the 1980s-1990s, this model is still in production. The geometric marquetry decoration, featuring a diamond pattern composed of lemonwood inlays and contrasting panels, creates a striking graphic effect. The meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the dense and carefully worked wood.
Length 50cm, width 33cm, height 6.8cm at the highest point and approximately 3.5cm at the lowest. In very good overall condition, with a few minor, discreet signs of wear on the base, particularly on one side, slight wear on the interior corners, and a few fine, barely visible scratches. Approximately 1 to 1.5 kg.
