Grand plateau Alexandre Gelb Paris en métal argenté, vintage XXe 1960-1970

Très beau grand plateau ovale en métal argenté de la maison Alexandre Gelb, orfèvre à Paris, poinçon carré sur un cotés intérieur "AG". Vintage, seconde moitié du XXe siècle années 1960-1970. Modèle richement travaillé à bord ajouré et fond entièrement décoré de rinceaux, fleurs et arabesques en relief, avec réserve centrale laissée vierge pour un éventuel monogramme. Très belle qualité d’exécution, idéale pour le service, en centre de table ou en décoration.

47cm de longueur, 33cm de largeur, 4,2cm de hauteur. Très bel état général, quelques discrètes traces d’oxydation, légère patine à l’intérieur et davantage au revers, à signaler patine de fines rayures de nettoyage plus ou moins visible. A beautiful, large oval silver-plated tray by Alexandre Gelb, a Parisian silversmith; it bears a square "AG" hallmark on the inside rim. Vintage, dating from the second half of the 20th century (1960s–1970s). The piece features an ornate design with an openwork rim and a base fully decorated in relief with scrolling foliage, flowers, and arabesques, surrounding a central blank reserve suitable for a monogram. Of excellent craftsmanship, it is ideal for serving, as a centerpiece, or for decorative display.

Length: 47 cm; width: 33 cm; height: 4.2 cm. Very good overall condition; there are some subtle signs of oxidation and a light patina—more pronounced on the underside—as well as fine cleaning scratches that are visible to varying degrees. Weight: approximately 700–1000 g.
