Grand broc ancien en grès de Puisaye pyrité, fin XIXe siècle

Très beau grand broc en grès pyrité de Puisaye, fabrication artisanale probablement du Cher ou du centre de la France. Ancien de la fin du XIXe siècle. Forme haute et légèrement galbée avec large anse. Bel émail à la cendre très nuancé, brun sur une face et dans des tons ocre, jaune et beige sur l’autre. Intérieur gris clair ponctué de nombreuses pyrites, avec un bel aspect rustique et minéral.

23cm de haut, environ 15cm de diamètre max et 18cm de profondeur max avec l’anse. Bel état général. Ne peut pas contenir d’eau. On note un cheveu au niveau du goulot, un autre au fond formant plusieurs bras, un éclat à la base ainsi que deux petits chocs sur l’émail du côté jaune, un peu visibles. Environ 1-2kg.

A beautiful, large pitcher made of pyritiferous stoneware from Puisaye; an artisanal piece likely originating from the Cher region or central France. It dates back to the late 19th century. It features a tall, slightly bulbous shape with a wide handle. The piece boasts a beautiful, highly nuanced ash glaze—brown on one side and displaying shades of ochre, yellow, and beige on the other. The interior is light gray, speckled with numerous pyrite inclusions, offering a lovely rustic, mineral appearance.

Dimensions: 23 cm high, approximately 15 cm in maximum diameter, and 18 cm in maximum depth (including the handle). Good overall condition. It cannot hold water. Noted imperfections include a hairline crack at the neck, another at the base branching out in several directions, a chip at the base, and two small impact marks on the glaze on the yellow side (slightly visible). Weight: approximately 1–2 kg.
