Figurine Fon, Dahomey, Bénin, artisanat vintage années 1950-1970 laiton/bronze

Rare figurine africaine en alliage laiton ou bronze à la cire perdue, fabrication vintage années 1950-1970,  Fon, ancien royaume du Dahomey, Bénin, représentant deux personnages stylisés disposés sur un socle en bois, l’un figurant un personnage de rang élevé ou dignitaire, accompagné d’un serviteur. L’ensemble repose sur une base rectangulaire en bois ancien, sur laquelle les figures sont fixées.
 
L’ensemble mesure environ 14cm de hauteur, pour 13cm de longueur et 7cm de largeur. Très bel état général, à signaler une fissure ancienne sous le socle en bois, non traversante sauf à l’extrémité arrière, sans incidence sur la stabilité. Patine homogène. Environ 500gr.

Rare African figurine in brass or bronze alloy, cast using the lost-wax technique, vintage manufacture from the 1950s-1970s, Fon, former kingdom of Dahomey, Benin, depicting two stylized figures on a wooden base. One figure represents a high-ranking person or dignitary, accompanied by a servant. The entire piece rests on a rectangular base of antique wood, to which the figures are attached. 
 
The figurine measures approximately 14 cm high, 13 cm long, and 7 cm wide. It is in very good overall condition, with an old crack under the wooden base, not extending through except at the rear end, which does not affect its stability. The patina is even. Approximately 500g.
