Carafe à rhum vintage Newfoundland Screech, chien Terre-Neuve en barbotine
Belle grande carafe à rhum, publicitaire, en céramique émaillée, barbotine, représentant un chien, Terre-Neuve debout. Vintage des années 1950-1960. Ce modèle est connu comme bouteille publicitaire pour le rhum canadien Newfoundland Screech, cet exemplaire ne conservant toutefois plus son étiquette ou médaillon d'origine. Le chien présente un pelage noir profondément brillant travaillé en relief, avec de grands yeux rouges et blancs ainsi qu'une langue rose, détails polychromes peints à la main. Le goulot est discrètement aménagé au sommet de la tête. Le bouchon d'origine est manquant. La céramique sous les pattes paraissant poreuse, son utilisation comme contenant pour liquide n'est pas recommandée.
Environ 28cm de long, 24,5cm de haut et 10cm de profondeur. Très bel état général, une petite retouche de peinture au-dessus de l'œil gauche ainsi qu'autour du goulot, sans fêle ni éclat notable. Environ 1,200kg.

A fine, large promotional rum decanter made of glazed majolica-style ceramic, depicting a standing Newfoundland dog. Vintage piece from the 1950s–1960s. This model is known as a promotional bottle for "Newfoundland Screech" Canadian rum, though this specific example no longer retains its original label or medallion. The dog features a high-gloss black coat rendered in relief, with hand-painted polychrome details including large red-and-white eyes and a pink tongue. The opening is discreetly positioned at the top of the head; the original stopper is missing. As the ceramic beneath the paws appears porous, using the piece to hold liquid is not recommended.
Dimensions: approximately 28 cm long, 24.5 cm high, and 10 cm deep. Very good overall condition; there is a small paint touch-up above the left eye and around the opening, but no cracks or significant chips. Weight: approximately 1.2 kg.
