Belle bouillotte ancienne en faïence émaillée anglaise, manufacture Grimwades Ltd en Angleterre, circa 1910-1920. Modèle "The Mecca", portant sous la base l'estampille verte "The Mecca – Grimwades Ltd England – Hot Water Bottle – Reg. No. 571373 – A". Belle forme épurée et galbée entièrement recouverte d'un émail blanc crème brillant, avec deux œillets intégrés aux épaules. Elle conserve son gros bouchon cannelé à vis ainsi que son joint. Un exemplaire identique, portant le même numéro d'enregistrement 57/373 A, est conservé dans les collections du London Museum et daté 1901-1920.
26cm de haut, environ 16cm de large et 9cm de profondeur. Très bel état général, quelques petites marques de patine et craquelures naturelles de l'émail liées à l'âge. Le filetage en céramique du bouchon présente un éclat ancien sur sa partie inférieure, sans gêner sa mise en place. Environ 1kg.
Usage décoratif préconisé à l'usage initial de bouillotte, objet ancien pouvant avoir été fragilisé par le temps, il ne correspond plus aux normes de sécurité actuelles.

A fine antique English glazed earthenware hot water bottle, made by Grimwades Ltd (England), circa 1910–1920. This is "The Mecca" model, bearing the green stamp on the base: "The Mecca – Grimwades Ltd England – Hot Water Bottle – Reg. No. 571373 – A". It features a beautiful, sleek, curved shape fully coated in a glossy cream-white glaze, with two eyelets integrated into the shoulders. It retains its large, fluted screw-top stopper and its original seal. An identical example, bearing the same registration number (571373 A), is held in the London Museum collections and dated 1901–1920.
Dimensions: 26 cm high, approximately 16 cm wide, and 9 cm deep. Very good overall condition, showing minor signs of patina and natural age-related crazing in the glaze. The ceramic threading on the stopper has an old chip on the lower section, though this does not interfere with screwing it in. Weight: approximately 1 kg.
Intended for decorative use rather than its original purpose as a hot-water bottle; as an antique object, it may have been weakened by age and no longer meets current safety standards.
