Bougeoir en laiton torsadé "Barley Twist" Mid-Century moderne, 1950-1970

Super bougeoir vintage en laiton de style Mid-Century moderne, probablement de fabrication anglaise, circa années 1950-1970. Pied à quatre brins torsadés formant une colonne hélicoïdale, surmontée d'une coupelle munie d'une pointe destinée à recevoir une grosse bougie cylindrique. Son design épuré et sculptural évoque les créations britanniques dites "Barley Twist". 
 
23,5cm de hauteur et 8cm de diamètre pour la coupelle. Bel état général, on note quelques traces d'usage, de légères rayures, quelques petites taches d'oxydation ainsi qu'un laiton légèrement terni, principalement sur la coupelle et le pied. Environ 700gr.

A superb Mid-Century Modern style brass candlestick—likely of English manufacture, dating from the 1950s–1970s. It features a base composed of four twisted strands forming a helical column, topped by a drip pan fitted with a spike designed to hold a large pillar candle. Its sleek, sculptural design is reminiscent of British "Barley Twist" creations. 
 
It measures 23.5 cm in height, with a drip pan diameter of 8 cm. It is in good overall condition, showing some signs of use, including light scratches, minor oxidation spots, and slight tarnishing of the brass—particularly on the drip pan and base. Weight: approximately 700 g.
