Bonbonnière victorienne att. George T. & Co verre cobalt et métal argenté XIXe
Élégante ancienne bonbonnière ovale en verre cobalt épais pressé, attribuée à George T. & Co, Angleterre fin du XIXe siècle. Corps en verre cobalt, base moulée d’une large étoile rayonnante. Couvercle en métal argenté richement estampé de motifs rayonnants et frises ciselées, terminé par un bouton central élégant.
Hauteur totale environ 9,5cm à la prise du couvercle, environ 5,7cm sans le couvercle. Longueur du corps seul 15cm, largeur 10cm, couvercle légèrement plus grand. Très bel état d’usage, on notera tout de même 2 rayures anciennes sur un côté du verre, une grande et une plus légère, relativement discrètes cependant, possiblement défauts de fabrication, ainsi que quelques petites puces discrètes sur le rebord et sous la base, très peu visibles en présentation. Le métal du couvercle présente une légère usure et quelques tâches, harmonieux dans l'ensemble néanmoins. Environ 650-700gr.

An elegant antique oval bonbonnière in thick pressed cobalt glass, attributed to George T. & Co., England, late 19th century. The cobalt glass body has a molded base in the shape of a large radiating star. The silver-plated metal lid is richly stamped with radiating motifs and chased friezes, and finished with an elegant central knob.
The total height is approximately 9.5 cm to the top of the lid, and approximately 5.7 cm without the lid. The body alone is 15 cm long and 10 cm wide, with the lid slightly larger. It is in very good used condition, although there are two old scratches on one side of the glass, one large and one smaller, both relatively discreet and possibly manufacturing flaws. There are also a few small, discreet chips on the rim and under the base, barely visible when displayed. The metal of the lid shows slight wear and some stains, but the overall appearance is harmonious. It weighs approximately 650-700 grams.
