Baguier, coupelle, figurine singe en laiton vintage Dahomey Bénin Afrique

Rare, petite sculpture en laiton doré, artisanat Africain vintage années 60-70, Dahomey, Bénin. Très joli travail du détail. Baguier ou coupelle à offrandes, figurant un singe filiforme, longues jambes et queue pour maintient, il tient dans ses bras tendus une petite coupelle ovale fine dont le centre est décoré. 11,5cm de hauteur max, 9cm de largeur/profondeur max, environ 12cm de profondeur avec la queue. Coupelle 8,5x6,5cm. Très bel état général, quelques petites traces du temps, petites oxydations notamment, et défauts de fabrication. Coupelle légèrement en biais. Environ 450gr.

Rare, small gilded brass sculpture, vintage African craftsmanship from the 60s-70s, Dahomey, Benin. Very nice detail work. Ring holder or offering cup, depicting a slender monkey, long legs and tail for support, it holds in its outstretched arms a small, thin oval cup whose center is decorated. 11.5cm max height, 9cm max width/depth, approximately 12cm depth with the tail. Cup 8.5x6.5cm. Very good general condition, some small traces of time, small oxidation in particular, and manufacturing defects. Cup slightly slanted. Approximately 450gr.
