🇬🇧 9 Bernardaud Limoges porcelain dinner plates with floral decoration from the 1920s-1950s
A charming set of 9 antique/vintage dinner plates made of very fine white Limoges porcelain—translucent when held up to the light—stamped "B & C°" (Bernardaud et Compagnie) and dating from the 1920s–1950s. They feature an elegant octagonal design with a wide rim, characteristic of the Art Déco style. The pattern consists of a colorful, floral transfer print accented by a blue line along the edge—a design that is spring-like, warm, cheerful, and traditional. Each plate measures 24.7 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm in height. They are in very good vintage condition; however, the decoration shows some minor manufacturing imperfections, as well as some wear to the transfer print and the blue rim detail. There are no chips or cracks, though some plates show faint, discreet signs of use from cutlery. There is a light patina from age and use on some pieces, along with minor signs of the passage of time. Each plate weighs approximately 250 grams. Hand washing is recommended; occasional dishwasher use is acceptable, provided a gentle, low-temperature cycle is selected.
